Nordkalk W-Series covers wide range of wollastonite products. Wollastonite is a naturally occurring calcium silicate mineral (CaSiO3). As a mineral with a wide range of uses, wollastonite is popular raw material in a number of applications, including plastics, paints and coatings, and in ceramic and friction materials.
The unique properties of wollastonite – its chemical composition, high degree of whiteness, high pH value and needle-like particle structure – combined with the high, consistent quality of Nordkalk’s wollastonite products and the company’s long-term manufacturing knowhow at its Lappeenranta quarry, guarantee a large demand for Nordkalk’s wollastonite products around the world.
Our range of products are available in two grades: acicular (Wicroll & Norwoll) and granular (W-products). We offer products with various surface treatments, which improve the coupling between the wollastonite and polymer and thus boost the functional properties of wollastonite.
