Tytyri

One of Nordkalk’s three underground mines is located in Tytyri, Lohja. There is also a grinding plant, two lime kilns, a slaking plant and a sales office in Tytyri. In the old mine shafts underground, there is an underground mine museum and KONE Corporation’s high-rise elevator test laboratory. Tytyri mine provides the town of Lohja with ground water, and the lime kiln produces waste heat to the municipal heating network.
